Quad-X are proud to manufacture the True Grit, their commercial spec salt spreader range.


Quad-X have designed and developed the True Grit salt spreader range in response to the need for a small scale commercial machine popular with amenities, large companies, farms and hire companies.


This spreader is capable of spreading damp salt thanks to the feed mechanism continually pushing material forward, irrespective of moisture and consistency, all to help prevent clogging and facilitate an even spread of salt.

The machine is available in various capacities and models including from 130L in a towed model, and up to 600L in a mounted model, suitable for pick-up trucks.

Spreading can be activated from inside your vehicle and spread width can be adjusted thanks to a user friendly control unit giving precise control during operation. True Grit spreaders are simple, reliable and effective, providing an affordable alternative to large scale belt drive machines.

Stainless Steel Fabrication

  • Stainless Steel Fabrication – the spreader is manufactured completely from stainless steel for protection from the corrosive nature of salt.
  • Innovative Feed Mechanism
    This spreader is capable of spreading damp salt thanks to the feed mechanism continually pushing material forward, irrespective of moisture and consistency, all to help prevent clogging and facilitate an even spread of salt.

      • 1 operates the auger

    • Adjustable Spinner Vanes enabling you to customise your spread pattern
    • Adjustable Spread Patter – with an adjustable spinner position
    • Specially designed blades – special ‘Z’ shaped blades for effective spread of materials such as salt and grit
    • Agitator – effective agitator system to help prevent bridging in the hopper
    Wireless Control Box & Stall Detection
    • Wireless Control Box – all controls are wireless, with power leads going from the vehicle to the machine only.
      • Built in motor start up function
      • Adjustable feed rate
    • Stall Detection – alerts the user if any blockages were to occur
